I am glad to announce that I released my first freely available template named Ubiquity for Drupal. It is still considered as beta but if you feel you can safely adapt it for you website. It works with all the core modules and a couple of widely used contributed modules as well.

Looks great
This template looks great but is there a updated version or does this work with current and newer versions too or do I have to any updates to template at all. I'm new to drupal so any info on this matter would be great before I install anything. thanks.
Right Sidebar on Frontpage
I have been using Ubiquity for a couple of weeks now and trying to adapt it to a site I have had for some time. I can't seem to get a right sidebar to appear on Frontpage. I tried various methods using Views & Panels 2 but I am still green to Drupal. Can you give me some tips on this? I want right sidebar on Frontpage only.
Right sidebar is a region.
Right sidebar is a region. You will have to set up blocks in the right sidebar only to appear in '< front >'. However only one block instance can be set in Drupal by default. You might want to use the blockqueue module to have multiple instances of blocks.
Photoshop
Any tutorial on how to use the photoshop theme? It Does not work for me... I use CS3...
It was created with
It was created with Photoshop CS2 and no tutorial is available. What was your problem with the PSD file?
I expected to just select
I expected to just select "save for web' and that the slices would create the correct images but some images had the coddect name but where just too small to fit correct in the theme....
I'm on a mac, could that
I'm on a mac, could that make a difference?
No, it wouldn't make a difference
This theme is not a click-n-go style. It has the slices prepared in Photoshop but some slices overlap each other so you really have to understand how the theme is built, and save the slices one by one if possible.
e.x. I do not manage to save
e.x. I do not manage to save the headbg.png I select the slice but get 2 images not 1. I managed to make the correct image by manually composing the headbg.png based on the 2 images created by the slice however? Is that the way to go?
if some layes need to be enabled/disabled layercomps could propably help here?
Anyway, thanks for this fine theme.
Just rearrange the slices
No, you don't have to manually compose the slices. You will only have to rearrange the slice to be saved (e.g. bring it to front) and it creates one png only.
Ubiquity's great.. question
hi first off - as a drupal noob, kind of hacking my way through, I've found Ubiquity to quite easy to use and modify .. good work!
I'm running into an issue I can't figure out though:
when logged in the header's "subheader" appears as it should, however
when logged out it does not.. Similar effect when I reload the stock / standard issue Ubiquity... any ideas where this is bugging out?

oh - oddly enough, the next
oh - oddly enough, the next day the problem seems to have solved itself...
so - nevermind.. thanks again for such a great customizable them offering..!
Great to see it solved. I
Great to see it solved. I suppose you just did not set any primary menu items and for anonymous users it was empty. Have fun using the theme!
I really like the Ubiquity
I really like the Ubiquity theme. The only problem I have noticed is that images are jumbled up on the front page. This is a common problem with Drupal themes but not all of them. Do you have any idea how to fix it?
Show a screenshot please
Hi Richard, happy to read you like the theme. On the front page issue... I do not have a clue about yet. What browser did you use when experienced this? Could you post a screenshot of a jumbled frontpage? What other themes suffer from this? What others not?
I try to help but please be a little more specific. Also if you feel this is an issue, post it on the issue queue at drupal.org. Help me making this theme better ;) Thanks.
